Apple Event - iPhone 7 & Free Wallpaper

So today, Apple unveiled its newest devices and I was there (at my computer) to see it all. I actually didn't even know until my friend told me. I don't really look out for everything Apple puts on but I never got the news of this event. I'm glad I tuned in. I mainly came to see the new iPhone reveal and there was a ton of “boring” stuff before that. iTunes and all that. Then, someone very familiar came up.

Super Mario Run for iOS! If that wasn't enough, Tim Cook moved aside to welcome Miyamoto Shigeru to the stage! I was going wild! Even Bill was there! I had this huge smile on my face. The legendary Miyamoto Shigeru on stage at an Apple event. Priceless!
The event was really good overall, except for the end. Who the heck is Sia? I was tweeting for hopes of Hatsune Miku. It never happened. Sigh. This Sia person did this really, really weird performance. I didn't even want to watch so I just left do do things while it went on. It was really weird. Like, really really strange. She seemed like a mix of Lady Gaga and Kyary PamyuPamyu. And that's saying something.
Apple came up with something called ConnectED. It's a neat programme that helps teachers and such.  Was too busy tweeting to pay attention. But the announcement of Pokémon GO! on Apple Watch was pretty cool. Can't wait to see what people do.
Best part was when Apple decided to reveal their $159 electronic q-tips. Some wireless earbuds with 5 hours battery life. Lol. I can't remember properly the last time I charged my current Bluetooth headset. They look stupid to me. Really dumb. I bet someone will buy it anyway. I hear they feel comfy.

Anyway, main event.

What a beast! It was leaked on Twitter by Apple before the actual reveal even started. MKB thought it was on purpose. I wonder though. The iPhone 7 looks amazing, sound amazing. It's so cool I got into a fight with my sensitive brother over the thing just existing. I'm impressed. My current phone is a Nexus 6. I'm Android all the way, but I must say, this is really, really good stuff. Apple went all aboard for this one. Upped the base disc space on all models, updated the home button,  Frankensteined the camera! The iPhone 7 Plus is even more beast with dual back cameras and actual optical zoom functions! I've always hated digital zoom so this is amazing! 12MP 1.8f aperture camera and a 7MP frontal. Flipping beast! Crisp photos! From what they've said, you can take an iPhone 7 Plus as your main device as a photographer. They're not saying this exactly, as the presenter said, "We're not telling you to throw out your DSLRs" but man can it work! The removal of the 3.5 mm jack was properly done. I see now what's going on. Using the iPhone’s lightning port, one can use the included lightning port headphones. They also have this adapter from lightning to 3.5 mm. It's pretty interesting the way they did it. A little softer that what Motorola did when when they dropped the bomb on us with NO 3.5 jack. But the $159 q-tips. LOL. I digress.
IP67 water and dust resistant. Don't throw it at Shamu and blame Apple. Its resistant. Not proofed. Faster A10 chip, +2 hours more battery life than the last iPhones. And graphics processing on games. They said it can handle console level graphics. But which console? From what I've seen, it looks like late PS2 era models with PS3 era HD textures and lighting. Looks a bit like League of Legends what they showed us. Bold claim to make Apple, but come on. Looks nice though. Also, Apple is paying a little more attention to Japan and NFC pay. Apple wallet is going to go hard from now.

All in all I'm impressed by Apple's event. Marques took a look at the new iPhone 7 and the Plus model. You can check it out here.
Since I went on and on about it, here's a free smart phone wallpaper I put together some time ago. It's Jaycee from Tekken Tag Tournament 2! I really liked this character. Not my favorite but still fun. I think Julia loves being Jaycee and I hope she gets to do it again!
I'll throw in the widescreen version too. Aren't I nice? Hahaha.
This is just fan art so...
Anyway that's it for now! You can read more about the iPhone 7 here!

Spotlight: Character Design - Tetsuya Nomura

After going through the internet in recent weeks and getting stressed over some details of Final Fantasy XV and it's reception, I set out to write a Defense of Nomura post. TWICE. However, I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to say that hasn't already been said by others, nor how to say it without being the ultimate fanboy. Furthermore, I started to question myself. As an aspiring character designer, why do I even like the art of Tetsuya Nomura? What about it makes it so, "interesting." In truth, I'm just going to wing it while listening to Jpop. Hello. If you've been to this blog before, I take it you've seen my last post was Christmas 2016. Truth is, my computer died and the replacement is also nonoperational until I get a replacement HDD. So, I've busted out my beloved HP Chromebook 14 and instead of watching anime or YouTube videos, I've decided to do something a bit more constructive. Tetsuya Nomura is well known as the creat...

The Edge

image from hongkiat Microsoft Edge is... not perfect. It's good, don't get me wrong. It's nowhere as bad as most people say or would think it is. But given its competition, and everyone's main rival, Chrome, Edge has had quite a battle to fight, even still with the upcoming switch to Chromium. Having debuted in 2015, Edge pretty much started with an uphill battle. It's predecessor, Internet Explorer left a bad taste in most techies' mouths over the years, becoming the butt of memes and jokes about being slow and having its sole purpose being to inevitably download Chrome.  But Edge is NOT IE. And, while I'm at it, I'll defend Internet Explorer just a bit. Let's be fair, a clean, not weighed down by a million toolbars IE actually works well enough to get some work done. Edge, is not an amplification of that sentiment, however. Edge is a new direction; the right direction, more or less. With its host of amazing features and tricks, Microsoft E...
