Biohazard 7 @TGS2016

Let me just say this game freaks me out.

Hi! I first played Resident Evil with Zero on the GameCube. I didn't get any sleep (I was ...10? about that). My tall, skinny brother pretending to be a zombie really racked my nerves.
Anyway at TGS2016 the devs have showed some NEW gameplay.

I like what they did with the name. The Japanese version is "BIOHAZARD resident evil" and the US ver, "RESIDENT EVIL biohazard." It's like the Japanese title is acknowledging the often strange US title and the US title is recalling its roots.

Scarily enough this game is available in PSVR.. Why!? Here are a few visuals.

I caught this image by accident. Go figure

Concepts
It's Biohazard's 20th Anniversary. By this time the graphics look amazing. The game's turned more into a Survival Horror than ever before (sorta?) with the team wanting to put out a "Superior Horror Experience."
In Biohazard 7, 7 concepts are a major part it seems. These are:
1. Escape
2. Immersion
3. Pursuit
4. Door
5. Exploration
6. Combat
7. Item Management

Escape has been shown to be a fundamental part of the series in general, but is heavily emphasized in 7.
Immersion is brought about by suspense in the game's atmosphere, along with VR.. *shudder*
Pursuit, shown in the "Lantern" demo as you are trying to flee this crazy and probably murderous woman, highlights the pressures of the survival horror genre.
Doors are essential. I can imagine rushing for the nearest one to just hide!
Exploration, of course shows it self. there are a puzzles to be solved (has anyone found a use for the finger in Beginning Hour?)
Combat is a MUST in Biohazard. That's why showed us the shotgun!
It's survival. You can't expect to waste items and survive. That's why this is a key concept for the experience of actually being in proper danger. Item management is important.

"You can Only Escape"

Guess who they got to play for us? Keyakizaka46's Sugai Yuuka! Honestly, I haven't followed Keyakizaka46 since they debuted, but I sure think I will now. She's really cute! She also shares a birthday with my AKB48 oshimen, Abe Maria!

She was absolutely petrified, and I can't blame her. I was a bit jumpy just watching her play. Despite that, she even gave an appeal! Idol indeed.
In Lantern, the objective is to escape. In fact, a lot of the final game may turn out like this kind of survival horror, of course keeping to Biohazard standards (yes, I'm talking about the shotgun).
This post will now consist of Sugai Yuuka cutely playing Biohazard 7: Lantern

Thanks for the hard work Yuuka!

I came for Biohazard, I stayed longer for Sugai Yuuka. She did a great job.
Biohazard 7 - Resident Evil comes out Jan. 26th, 2017. It's also 4K HDR ready

Also, Beginning Hour is still a free download for ALL PS4 users. You can try it if you want (I'm not even asking you to .-. ). I hear there'll also be an update for the teaser demo.

Well, that's that then! No free stuff this time. ( don't have any atm).
You can watch Yuuka play here

PlayStation 20th Anniversary Custom Wallpaper

Hello! It's a whole year but I still did one. Lool It's not too late to say Happy Anniversary once more, right? I just wanted to make something new so I put together two PlayStation 20th Anniversary wallpapers.

Spotlight: Character Design - Tetsuya Nomura

After going through the internet in recent weeks and getting stressed over some details of Final Fantasy XV and it's reception, I set out to write a Defense of Nomura post. TWICE. However, I wasn't exactly sure what I wanted to say that hasn't already been said by others, nor how to say it without being the ultimate fanboy. Furthermore, I started to question myself. As an aspiring character designer, why do I even like the art of Tetsuya Nomura? What about it makes it so, "interesting." In truth, I'm just going to wing it while listening to Jpop. Hello. If you've been to this blog before, I take it you've seen my last post was Christmas 2016. Truth is, my computer died and the replacement is also nonoperational until I get a replacement HDD. So, I've busted out my beloved HP Chromebook 14 and instead of watching anime or YouTube videos, I've decided to do something a bit more constructive. Tetsuya Nomura is well known as the creat...

The Edge

image from hongkiat Microsoft Edge is... not perfect. It's good, don't get me wrong. It's nowhere as bad as most people say or would think it is. But given its competition, and everyone's main rival, Chrome, Edge has had quite a battle to fight, even still with the upcoming switch to Chromium. Having debuted in 2015, Edge pretty much started with an uphill battle. It's predecessor, Internet Explorer left a bad taste in most techies' mouths over the years, becoming the butt of memes and jokes about being slow and having its sole purpose being to inevitably download Chrome.  But Edge is NOT IE. And, while I'm at it, I'll defend Internet Explorer just a bit. Let's be fair, a clean, not weighed down by a million toolbars IE actually works well enough to get some work done. Edge, is not an amplification of that sentiment, however. Edge is a new direction; the right direction, more or less. With its host of amazing features and tricks, Microsoft E...
